NOTE - This is a 15 month maternity replacement opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent

 

What you will do:

 

• Process payrolls for all salaried and hourly employees, as well as commission and bonus payments.
• Ensure payroll is properly authorized.
• Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, and other deductions.
• Extract timesheets and review work hours for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure that hours are categorized and allocated to correct cost centers.
• For electronic time clocks, contact supervisors for any missed times.
• Process data to the Payroll Provider.
• Ensure all wage changes are made accurately and in time for effected pay periods.
• Follow payroll procedures for terminated employees.
• Administer benefit plan.
• Stay current with payroll regulations, standards and work methods.

 

For this role, come equipped with:

· Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent

• Able to maintain confidential information.
• Work experience in accounting, payroll and human resources preferred.

· The ability to work in a team setting.

· The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Project management experience would be considered an asset.
