Operation Management Officer

Our client is looking to add an Operations Manager to their team in Orangeville, Ontario
Operational Leadership: Manage daily plant and warehouse operations including fertilizer blending, bagging, and logistics, ensuring equipment functionality and operational reliability.
Hands-On Technical Oversight: Provide direct support for Housekeeping, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical systems and plant equipment to minimize downtime.
Coach and support staff to meet performance goals and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
Inventory Management: Lead shrink reduction initiatives, reconciliation processes, and year-end counts.
Capital Projects: Support planning and execution of facility upgrades and equipment investments, including technical evaluations.
Recruitment & HR: Drive seasonal and full-time hiring, performance reviews, and personalized development plans.
Health & Safety: Lead safety programs, inspections, and emergency response planning.
Environmental Compliance: Ensure responsible facility operations and liaise with partners on sustainability initiatives.
Proven experience in operations management within agribusiness or related industry.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
Hands-on experience with plant equipment and mechanical systems; Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial processes such as fertilizer blending and bagging.
Knowledge of inventory systems, H&S regulations, and environmental standards.
