Engineering Manager for Electrical development performance F/H

Were looking for a senior or intermediate electrical engineer to join our electrical group at R.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people as much as solving complex design challenges someone who sees project delivery client engagement and mentorship as interconnected and equally important.

The Electrical group at Burnside undertakes work for a variety of clients in the private public Aboriginal and golf sectors. Our group applications include designs for commercial and light industrial buildings (power lighting fire alarm and communications) street & site lighting subdivisions transportation hubs healthcare facilities pumping stations and electric vehicle charging stations.

In this role you will take ownership of a wide variety of design and engineering tasks including:

Lead the design of power distribution lighting and fire alarm systems for municipal commercial and industrial buildings.

Lead the design for street lighting (including photometrics) subdivision electrical design site electrical design hydro coordination and emergency power design.

Support multidisciplinary teams with electrical expertise during all project phases

Participate in and lead client meetings building long-term partnerships and identifying new opportunities.

Write and contribute to proposals technical reports and documentation for project submissions.

Oversee construction administration and project delivery from design through to completion.

Work closely with other Burnside offices and disciplines to ensure efficient high quality project execution

A . license in Ontario with 5 to 10 years of electrical power and lighting design experience.

Solid knowledge of the current Electrical Safety Codes (CEC and OESC) and National and Ontario Building codes.

Proven project management skills with the ability to manage schedules budgets and priorities.

Excellent communication skills youre confident in both technical writing and client-facing conversations

Experience managing projects or small teams

Familiarity with Metrolinx standards and projects

Knowledge of AGi32 or Visual lighting software

Hands-on project management experience from concept through construction
