Our company is a successful construction and design-build engineering firm entering its 35th year of operations, with over 60 employees in the field. As we continue to expand our engineering and construction operations throughout Alberta, we are currently seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team.

The Mechanical Engineer will support engineering, design, estimating, and project management activities for a variety of industrial and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assist with project planning, design development, drafting, documentation, procurement, and construction support.
This role provides exposure to all phases of a project, from concept and design through construction and project closeout.
Assist with the development of project scopes, designs, and technical documentation based on client requirements
Support engineers and project managers with project planning, scheduling, estimating, and reporting activities
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Assist with quantity take-offs, material lists, and cost estimates
Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and field personnel
Support procurement activities and vendor document reviews
Conduct field reviews, site measurements, and as-built documentation as required
Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
Participate in safety reviews and project quality control processes
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related engineering technology discipline
Strong wnderstanding of mechanical systems, process piping, equipment layouts, and industrial construction practices
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D or other 3D design software
Experience with estimating, scheduling, or project coordination is considered an asset
Knowledge of HVAC, piping systems, tanks, or process equipment is considered an asset
Additional site-specific safety training may be required depending on project needs
Combination of office and field-based work
Occasional travel to project sites throughout Alberta
