Our Calgary client is seeking a Cook to join their team! If you love to be creative with your food, find satisfaction cooking a well-balanced meal and have a keen sense of customer service, this might be the job for you!
To prepare food following standardized recipes
Review menus and set-up equipment and supplies for daily food production
Ensure meals are served on time, at appropriate temperatures and in portion-controlled quantities
Monitor the quality of food supplies received and the proper operation of kitchen equipment
Responsible for the clear and correct labelling of excess food
Safely operate all kitchen equipment and utensils
Adhere to established policies and procedures
Experience as a cook is required
Current Safe Food Handlers certificate
Experience in quantity food preparation
Familiar with Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating and therapeutic diets
Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, standing and walking short distances throughout the day and tolerating heat from the kitchen area
