The Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation (VPRI) serve to encourage, facilitate, administer and promote research at SFU; advocate for university research generally; and guide policy development at university and government levels.
The Strategic Projects Manager within the Vice-President, Research and International (VPRI) office is responsible for managing priority projects and initiatives identified in the Strategic Research Plan (SRP) implementation strategy and within the VPRI office. to develop project plans and ensures the successful implementation of these plans in adherence with project goals and deliverables. The role is responsible for end-to-end project management of various scale and complexity, including communications, and assesses variances from the project plans, budgets, and schedules working closely with cross-portfolio teams to provide seamless service to project leaders. The Strategic Projects Manager provides leadership and support to the VPRI and executive in the advancement of strategic projects, and ensures achievement of quality standards, timelines, deliverables and risk mitigation.
