Assistant(e) Finances à temps partiel (H/F)

Part-time – 3 days (21 hours per week)
The Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS) provides legal advice, risk management services, legal assistance and professional liability protection related to nursing practice to over 175,000 eligible Canadian nurses across all Canadian provinces and territories. As a Finance Clerk with the CNPS, you will have the opportunity to leverage your training and clerical experience. The Finance Clerk reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for the timely processing of all supplier invoices.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities
Coordinates day-to-day accounting functions for all payables related transactions including:
maintaining accounting records and internal controls
verifying and processing payment for accounts payable
calculating and maintaining depreciation schedules for all capital assets
handling banking deposits and respective accounting
reconciles all corporate credit card statements and processes expenses effectively
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations.
Provide support and assistance with annual financial budgets and audits

Other financial functions or projects as delegated.

Completion of a post-secondary undergraduate degree in finance or commerce
Three years of related experience in a clerical role
High degree of proficiency with office applications, specifically Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Planner); virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom), and file management/collaboration platforms (SharePoint)
Ability and willingness to commute/relocate to Ottawa

Experience using databases or customer management systems (Salesforce)
Professional French proficiency (bilingualism in official languages)

For this position, the annual full-time starting salary range is between $55,000 – $65,000. comprehensive health and dental care coverage;
