Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Benefits and Pension Consultant.

Reporting to the Manager Benefits and Manager Pensionsthis position is responsiblefor providing expert advisory services and support in the administration of employee pension and benefits programs. This role ensures that all programs are managed in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional service to members and stakeholders. Provide guidance and advice to employees regarding pension options eligibility and processes. Oversee the day-to-day administration of pension programs including enrollment changes terminations and retirements. Data Management:
Maintain and update databases with member information including data from third-party plan administrators. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Perform pension membership and payment data reconciliation analysis and review
Perform pension-related calculations such as service credits retirement estimates and benefit entitlements. Customer Service:
Act as a primary point of contact for members and vendors offering excellent customer service and building positive relationships
Educate members on plan features administrative processes and changes to programs. Prepare and deliver presentations or written materials as needed.
Ensure all pension and benefits programs comply with relevant legislation policies and procedures. Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and improve the member experience

Post-secondary education in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of 3 years experience in pension administration or consulting
Strong understanding of pension programs including regulatory requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing and validating pension calculations and member data
Experience supporting pension audits and reporting processes
Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers is an asset
