Our client is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant who thrives in a structured, regulated environment and understands that every prescription represents a person counting on precision, care, and professionalism.
It is a vital support position within a progressive community pharmacy that blends traditional retail service with modern systems and online components. Working alongside licensed pharmacists and reporting to pharmacy leadership, you will support the safe and accurate preparation, processing, and distribution of prescriptions while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Greeting and assisting patients in person and by telephone
Counting, packaging, labeling, and staging medications for pharmacist verification
Processing prescription claims and resolving third-party billing or adjudication discrepancies
Ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and pharmacy supplies in accordance with storage and safety standards
Supporting front-store merchandising initiatives and assisting customers with product inquiries
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and confidentiality standards within the pharmacy

Experience in a retail, customer-facing, or pharmacy support environment
Exposure to prescription processing and insurance billing systems
Familiarity with pharmacy management software platforms
Experience handling provincial drug benefit plans and third-party reimbursement processes is considered a strong asset
Ability to collaborate effectively within a pharmacy team
Post-secondary education in a pharmacy-related discipline is beneficial but not mandatory.
