POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is a highly skilled professional who works in tandem with the Controller in managing financial operations.
* THIS POSITION IS ONSITE AT OUR MEDICINE HAT AB OFFICE. *
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Work Safely or not at all. Value and follow all safe work practices company policies and client worksite regulations.
Champion EnerStar Guiding Values.
Assist the Director Manager and CFO in completing day-to-day accounting functions.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Perform complex reconciliations and financial analyses.
Reconcile various balance sheet accounts prepaid and deferred revenue.
Prepare and record the monthly revenue and expense accrual.
Maintain the capital asset and inventory listings.
Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and insights.
Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and variance analyses.
Assist with automation initiatives.
Streamline financial and administrative processes.
Stay current with industry regulations and accounting standards.
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
Additional responsibilities: as identified and assigned.

Travel : The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by EnerStar Solutions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field is required
CPA designation or current enrollment within the CPA program is preferred
Experience :
~ Minimum 1 year ofproven experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with various accounting software (Quickbooks) is preferred High attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
