Hays: Architectural Technologist

Your new company Hays has partnered with a local small – mid-size who is looking for either a junior or intermediate Architectural Technologist to join their unique team. With over 20 years in the industry, specializing in a diverse range of projects, including Healthcare, Institutional, Commercial, and public projects (CBE and Prisons). This is an on-site role, with flexibility, and every second Friday is a half day
In this role, you will coordinate design and technical information with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Your responsibilities will include reviewing building products, conducting building code analyses, and integrating this information into technical documentation. You’ll produce detailed drawings that meet industry standards and code requirements, while working directly with colleagues and external consultants to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated project documents.
To be successful in this role, you will have 1 to 5 years of professional experience, ideally within Alberta, and hold an Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent. You bring hands-on experience with small- and large-scale healthcare, institutional, and public sector projects, and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Above all, you’re a collaborative team player who embraces challenges and is committed to delivering high-quality work.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary of $50,000-70,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus, health spending accounts, 2 weeks starting vacation and gas or milage coverage
