Operations Supervisor (Afternoon or Week-end Shift)

We’re looking for a driven, people-focused, and operationally sharp Director of Operations to oversee our corporate UNA pizza + wine locations in Calgary. This role balances big-picture strategy with hands-on leadership, ensuring our restaurants deliver industry-leading hospitality, operational excellence, and financial performance while keeping our culture vibrant and people growing. Organization Description: UNA Restaurants Canada (URC) embodies a local restaurant concept that specializes in California-style thin crust pizzas, curated boutique wines, and dedication to sourcing local ingredients. Taking inspiration from ingredient-centric culinary traditions found in the Mediterranean and California, the restaurant's core objective is to curate an unparalleled dining experience for its community. Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and documentation through structured weekly one-to-one meetings.
Foster clear and consistent communication between locations, the corporate office, and the executive team.
Be a role model of UNA’s values, inspiring high performance and a positive, collaborative workplace.
Oversee the operational success of all corporate Calgary locations, balancing strategy with on-the-ground presence.
Ensure budgets are met by using resources effectively and finding the highest quality, best-value solutions for equipment, construction, and maintenance needs.
Identify operational gaps and implement sustainable processes and systems that drive long-term growth.
Partner with the Director of HR to maintain and strengthen training platforms, ensuring consistency across all locations.
Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to turn data into action.
Passion for food, hospitality, and building positive team cultures.
Proficient with Google Suite, scheduling software, and inventory platforms.
5+ years of leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant or hospitality operations.
~ Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and overseeing construction/renovation projects considered an asset.

Split between office and on-site restaurant work.

• 40% corporate office : administration, profitability analysis, training and process development, construction timelines.
• 60% in the restaurants : one day per week at each corporate Calgary location, side by side with location leaders to improve sales, margins, and guest experiences.
• Time is spent equally in FOH and BOH, adjusting as needed to meet business priorities.
• Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and long hours when necessary.
