Job Responsibility:
The Bookkeeper will mainly support with reconciliations, ledger postings, and year-end organization tasks. A full description is provided below for your reference.
- Bookkeeper
Position : Bookkeeper Location : Onsite at Process Products International Ltd. Markham, Ontario Hours : Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (30 hours per week)
Overview :Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant, the Temporary Bookkeeper will assist with critical year-end activities. The focus will be on ensuring accuracy in reconciliations and ledger postings to support financial closing requirements.
Responsibilities :
Perform account reconciliations for year-end close.
Post journal entries accurately into the accounting system.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
Organize supporting documents for audits and year-end reporting.
Verify the accuracy of transactions recorded in the general ledger.
Support the finance team with additional bookkeeping and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or junior accounting role.
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (experience with Prophet 21 would be an asset but is not mandatory).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas, pivot tables preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Other Notes :
This is a short-term support role during a high-volume period.
Prior experience with an ERP system considered an asset.
