Hospitality Inventory Assistant

The Hospitality Attendant is is responsible for preparing and serving quality food and beverage offerings to guests and collecting payment. They may also be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by booking reservations, assisting with guest needs, and resolving or escalating any guest concerns or issues.

The Attendant is also tasked with opening- and closing duties, as well as maintaining the general upkeep of their assigned Concession Stand location throughout the hours of service. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

A successful Hospitality Attendant will be responsible for:

Greeting and assisting customers while anticipating their needs, taking orders and providing friendly, efficient service.

Addressing customer inquiries, resolving minor issues if required and escalating more complex problems to your supervisor.

Operating a point-of-sale system, processing transactions and payments.

Ensuring food is prepared and handled safely following hygiene and sanitation standards.

Preparing and assembling food and beverages according to established recipes and guidelines.

Adhering to established procedures and policies for food & beverage preparation, credit/debit/cash and customer service.

Adhering to all Government regulations, laws and in-house policies on Responsible Alcohol Service.

Complete opening and closing procedures for your location as assigned.

May be required to assist with inventory and stocking of supplies.

Maintain a clean, organized and stocked work area.

Additional tasks as assigned by the Stand Lead, Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications

• Previous guest services experience preferred
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrate organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

Friendly, welcoming and able to interact with customers and co-workers in a positive manner.

Clear and effective communication with customers and team members.

Serve Right Certification and a minimum age of 18 to serve in the Province of Nova Scotia.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; handling multiple tasks and working under pressure at times.

Understanding of proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team promoting a positive culture.

Ability to follow directions.

Flexibility; willingness to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

Frequently lifting and carrying items such as food supplies, prepared menu items and beverages often and may be up to 30 lbs.

Repetitive hand and arm movements and motions such as preparing food & beverage orders, entering orders into the point-of-sale system, restocking items.

Attendants need to bend and reach to access items, serve customers and clean surfaces.

Ability to work in a variety of conditions including variable temperatures, and potentially around wetness, noise and other hazards.

Potential for working in some locations with limited space.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
