Welders are responsible for safely MIG welding pre-assembled structural steel products to meet the quality standards and specifications demanded by our Quality Assurance Program and of our industry regulators

Perform various fit-up and tacking operations on a variety of structural assemblies

using shop orders for location before finish welding

Perform production GMAW operations on a variety of plate, bars, channel, and related materials working off shop orders and/or verbal instructions

Setting welding machine to assure uniform bead, adequate penetration with minimum wrap

Utilize overhead crane to lift within the capacity of the crane

Be willing to help the team succeed wherever possible

CWB certification in GMAW is considered an asset

Prior experience in the steel industry is considered an asset
