HR Generalist Location: Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Work Arrangement: Hybrid Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year Shift Energy Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist with a strong focus on Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) to join our Human Resources team in Vancouver. This role combines core HR responsibilities with leadership in workplace health, safety, and compliance initiatives. We're a leader in designing and building solar and energy storage projects across Canada. We work on residential, commercial, off-grid, and on-grid projects, offering comprehensive solar and energy storage solutions tailored to diverse energy needs. About the Role: As an HR Generalist with a focus on Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), you will play an integral role in shaping both the people and safety practices at Shift Energy Group. By combining expertise in HR with leadership in OH&S, you will help foster a safe, positive, and high-performing workplace where employees can thrive. Manage the full employee lifecycle for your client group, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding.

Partner with leaders to provide HR guidance and support aligned with organizational goals.

Ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently and effectively.

Act as a trusted advisor in managing workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance concerns.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and support HR administrative tasks such as reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking.

Design, implement, and continuously improve OH&S programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations.

Oversee and deliver orientations, training, and communication on health and safety practices.

Track and report on annual and semi-annual safety performance metrics to ensure goals are being met.

Maintain and enhance OH&S policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulations.

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of HR generalist experience, with at least 2 years focused on Occupational Health & Safety.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining OH&S programs and compliance initiatives at a national level.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience leading employee orientations, safety training, and compliance initiatives.

Previous experience supporting technical or high-risk industries, such as construction, renewable energy, or utilities.

Demonstrated experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.

Competitive base salary of $65,000–$75,000 annually.
