Industrial Electrician (Temporary)

At Superior Industries, our manufactured products help produce key ingredients that form the world’s infrastructure. This innovative crushing, screening, washing and conveying equipment moves and processes minerals used to build roads and bridges, airports and hospitals and other fundamental societal systems. An Industrial Electrician is responsible for completing the following duties:
Install electrical components and troubleshoot electrical systems on equipment manufactured at the production plant
Install electrical panels, switches, wiring, and other electrical components on manufactured equipment to engineering specifications
Perform final electrical testing and documentation.
Maintain build quality by verifying part and assembly to print
Troubleshoot electrical systems with the engineering team
Provide hands on electrical training to others in assembly
Assist with mechanical and hydraulic assembly tasks when needed
Provide feedback to engineering on design and process improvement opportunities
Ensure that electrical equipment is installed per latest safety codes and best practice methods
Electrical testing is completed and equipment is in compliance with performance standards
Improve manufacturing systems\processes related to electrical area
Journeyman Electrical license or Associates Degree in Electrical or equivalent experience
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
Ability to read and understand proper use of electrical measuring instruments
Understand and experience with the use of standard hand tools, soldering, crimp tool applications
Understanding CEC & NEC code on manufactured equipment
Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use specific control software
Experience with PLC programming software an asset
Experience in Motor Control applications an asset
Experience VFD's and Soft-starts an asset
Ability to understand schematic drawings, specifications, and circuits an asset
