Lumentum is on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on SONiC to enhance optical circuit switch technologies. This role demands a strong command of SONiC architecture and hands-on experience in SAI development, containerization, and fault/event-driven frameworks. Collaborate effectively across hardware and software teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design SONiC architecture for next-generation optical hardware
- Drive SAI enablement to meet optical use cases
- Oversee platform bring-up and service management
- Manage SONiC releases and ensure stability
- Create telemetry and northbound integration implementations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field
- 5+ years proficiency in C, C++, and Python
- In-depth knowledge of SONiC architecture
- Solid experience with Linux, Docker, and Git
- Background in telemetry and optical networking
