In this position as an Entry Level Junior Electrical Engineer, or Entry Level Junior Electrical Technician/Technologist (multiple positions available), you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and technologists on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients. Working as part of a team, this work will involve the design, drafting, construction and commissioning services for industrial electrical systems including power distribution, lighting & controls, fire alarm, and backup power systems

Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual.

Providing CAD & Revit drafting and design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration.

Assisting in preparing documentation for the resolution of technical issues on construction sites.

Experience in the Engineering consulting industry is an asset.

Familiarity with the Engineering design process is an asset

Familiarity with Electrical and Building codes is an asset

Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software packages for drafting / design of Electrical systems is an asset

Familiarity with Lighting Simulation software such as Dialux, AGI, or Visual is an asset

Familiarity with Power simulation software such as ETap is an asset

Demonstrable initiative on tasks and in leading / influencing members of a team are an asset

Demonstrable ability to formulate sound opinions based on available data is an asset

Interest in Building Engineering systems

Eligibility to apply for Federal Security clearances - including reportable residential history of at least 10 years in Canada

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technologies, Integrated Engineering, Engineering Physics, Drafting, and/or a related field; Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
