Tâches
Vérifier les produits, pour s'assurer de leur conformité quant à leur forme, leurs dimensions ou autres normes
Nettoyer et lubrifier les machines et l'équipement
Plier, couper, laminer, poinçonner, percer, souder ou façonner de quelques autres manières des métaux pour fabriquer des pièces ou des produits
Examiner les problèmes afin de les résoudre ou d'effectuer des réparations mineures
Disposer, régler et conduire une ou plusieurs machines ou équipement de façonnage de métaux légers ou lourds
Conduire des presses ou d'autres machines à forger à chaud ou à froid pour façonner ou former le métal
Placer, au besoin, et ajuster les matrices sur l'enclume des engins de formage
Lire et interpréter les spécifications ou suivre des instructions verbales
Expérience en utilisation de matériel et de machinerie
