Electrical Engineer/Engineering Technologist

The Intermediate Electrical Engineer independently executes electrical engineering work for major capital and sustaining capital projects in mining and heavy industrial environments. The role includes electrical system design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and accountability for engineered deliverables. A strong commitment to safety and sound engineering judgment is essential.
This is a rotational mine-site position (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 11-hour days in camp) . Work is performed on a remote mining site with full camp accommodation provided during rotation periods.
Travel to site is via scheduled flights departing from Saskatoon only . The ideal candidate must be willing and able to arrange and travel to Saskatoon on their own to connect with these flights.

Demonstrate a strong personal safety culture and comply with all safety programs and regulatory requirements.
Perform electrical design for low, medium, and high voltage systems, including power distribution, motor control, and generation systems.
Apply mining and heavy industrial electrical design standards and best practices.
Independently lead electrical engineering scope on assigned projects and coordinate with other disciplines.
Develop and review Scopes of Work (SOW) for electrical installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Prepare and update engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and equipment lists.
Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor/shop drawing reviews.
Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and operations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
4–9 years of experience in mining, industrial, or heavy infrastructure environments
Experience developing Scopes of Work (SOW) for electrical projects
Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Working knowledge of ETAP power system modeling (asset)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
