Remote Account Director/Client Services

VERB is a digital marketing and technology agency located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our global clients offer the opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the world's biggest destinations, resorts, and travel brands. The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, providing strategic direction, and planning across a variety of clients. They act as the main point of contact for the client within the organization, working closely with internal project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and following agreed upon strategy.
Independently manage client relationships and projects, proactively offering sound solutions to issues
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts by proposing and introducing new solutions and services based on clients' needs
- Oversee marketing retainers and projects (i.e., Social/SEO/GEO retainers, Paid Media, and campaigns) in partnership with subject matter experts
- Oversee and manage small to medium scale web development and digital marketing projects from Discovery to Launch
- Manage overall project timelines, with the support of Project Managers and Account Coordinators
- Manage overall project budgets and work to find efficiencies while keeping the project within scope
- Collaborate with all relevant VERB departments, engaging subject matter experts on projects and new initiatives
- Maintain a working knowledge of client brand standards and assets
- Uncover and articulate research, insight, and strategic models to help advance the business interests of clients
- Mentor Account Coordinators, supporting with their career development and onboarding as necessary
- Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to present to clients and internal management
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, i.e., building decks, pulling together budgets, completing contact reports, etc.
- The ability to manage timelines and budgets, while collaborating with subject matter experts who own execution
- Highly proactive and demonstrates initiative to find creative solutions to problems
- Possesses a working understanding of SEO/GEO, SEM, web analytics, social and traditional media
