Security Specialist - Senior

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience in assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
• 5 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with internal partners and customer teams.

Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security for clients cloud security frameworks using industry standards.

Ability to convey governance principles to cloud computing in terms of policies.

Excellent time and project management skills.

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. You will have an understanding of AI security, application security, cyber defense, cloud services, and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats. You will work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You will test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats. You will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross-functional teams.

(British Columbia & Canada-Remote Only*) The British Columbia base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 152,000-156,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. *Please note that the compensation details listed in Canada role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Develop roadmaps and recommendations to drive client enhancements of their cloud security architecture, governance, and standards.

Perform security configuration reviews for common cloud-based SaaS platforms.

Identify, incorporate, and articulate AI security, cloud security best practices such as DevSecOps strategy, zero trust design, and cloud incident response.
