Hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week
Salary: up to $85 + 9% Bonus
Department: Finance – Finance Accounting
Our client is a leading Canadian supplier of automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial products. They are currently seeking an Accountant to join their finance team and play a key role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and business support.

- The Accountant role operates in the general accounting team, working closely with the General Accounting Manager as well as with business units.
Prepare and maintain account and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring assigned assets and liabilities are fairly stated.
- Perform bank reconciliations of the CAD and USD bank accounts
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger
- In coordination with the General Accounting Manager, prepare variance analysis for assigned cost centres (actual vs. Provide support with preparation of financial statement working papers, analysis and commentary.
- Effectively liaise and provide day to day accounting support to assigned business units. In coordination with General Accounting Manager, deliver financial reporting and analysis for assigned business units.
Flexible and able to make independent decisions quickly.
- Strong preference for an accounting designation in progress.
- 2 to 3 years of previous general accounting experience. Previous experience with financial analysis required.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamix preferred.
