Buyer, Oakville, Ontario, Canada (Onsite), $75,000–$85,000 CAD per year Are you a detail-driven Buyer who loves owning purchasing decisions in a fast-moving environment? 2+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing, consumables or regulated environment.
- Prior experience with purchasing of reagents, chemicals, instruments and / or PPE is preferred, not required.
- Strong understanding of sourcing, cost drivers, lead times, and supplier negotiations
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (MISys or similar) and working with structured master data
- A proactive, collaborative communicator who partners effectively with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers
Own end-to-end procurement for assigned categories, managing requisitions, POs, delivery, and receipt to support R&D and operations
Source and negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost, lead time, and quality while meeting compliance requirements
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP master data (items, BOMs, suppliers) and support inventory, receiving, and reconciliation activities
Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance KPIs, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
Gain exposure to advanced technology, regulated manufacturing, and growth-stage operations
