Senior Procurement Specialist, Supply Chain

Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their high-performance operations team. This is a pivotal role designed for a procurement professional who excels in a fast-paced setting. You will be tasked with more than just purchasing; you will act as a subject-matter expert for assigned product lines, leveraging market intelligence to safeguard supply continuity and optimize the total cost of ownership.
Strategic Category Leadership: Own the development of annual budgets and lead high-impact procurement projects. You will be responsible for key KPIs and ensuring proactive risk mitigation across the supply chain.
- Market Analysis & Decision Support: Monitor global commodity trends and economic shifts. You will provide senior leadership with scenario-based recommendations and execute technical RFPs.
- Supplier Partnership Management: Cultivate and manage robust relationships with both domestic and international vendors. You will lead negotiations and utilize KPI-driven metrics to evaluate performance.
- Process Innovation: Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best-in-class sourcing methodologies.
Professional Experience: 5+ years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience, ideally within a manufacturing context.
- Technical Literacy: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience navigating ERP systems (Oracle experience is a distinct advantage).
- Strong critical thinking skills, excellent stakeholder management, and a proven track record in cost analysis.
- bilingualism is considered a strong asset.
Travel: Occasional travel will be required to meet with suppliers and stakeholders.
