Health Records Clerk PT - HIS

Position Summary Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Clerk, to support the Health Records department.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs clerical duties related to creating and maintaining patient records, record retrieval, assembly, quantitative analysis, and release of patient information.
Position requires typing speed of 45 WPM and medical terminology certificate from accredited college/university.
Grade 12, graduate of a recognized medical terminology course plus six (6) months recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
