Technologist (Inventory)

The Opportunity The Adaptive Technologist operates in a team environment, working with the Accessibility Advisors and other student services professionals to facilitate the provision of adaptive technology, alternative format and complex exam accommodation support services for students with disabilities.

Lead adaptive technology supports and training - 60%

Maintain and track equipment inventory for internal and external stakeholders

Provide support for appropriate resources and technology to Testing Services administration and other staff within Lamb Learner Success Centre.

Research and test new adaptive technologies that may be useful for students while attending SAIT

Maintain software licensing for Lamb Learner Success Centre

Coordinate alternative format material procurement and create electronic modules/digital textbooks for conversion

Facilitate implementation of accommodated exams - 20%

Coordinate contracts for other service providers for students with disabilities such as sign language interpreters, scribes, Academic Aides, etc.

Provide support to students and Testing Services staff on related processes.

Support implementation of test booking software20% / 100%

Oversee purchasing of materials and technology for Lamb Learner Success Centre

Maintain and update all Lamb Learner Success Centre access and databases

Coordinate and update all Centre forms and presentation software

Experience working with people requiring accommodation is strongly recommended
