PRODUCT DESIGN SENIOR SPECIALIST

About Bree Bree is a consumer finance platform that brings better, faster, and cheaper financial services to over half the Canadian population who live paycheck to paycheck. We operate in a huge, but overlooked market in a country with the least amount of financial technology innovation in the developed world. Our first act is to become the cheapest and best provider of short-term credit to the 20 million people in Canada who live paycheck to paycheck.

We have $5M ARR per full-time employee, growing at a double-digit monthly rate, profitable, and have had 0 voluntary employee churn. We’re looking for an Senior Product Designer to help shape the next phase of Bree’s product. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant ownership and impact. You’ll work end-to-end on core product surfaces across mobile and web, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to define problems, explore solutions, and ship meaningful improvements for our users.

Own the end-to-end design for major product initiatives, from problem framing and discovery through execution and launch

Design intuitive, accessible experiences across Bree’s mobile and web products, with a strong focus on clarity, trust, and usability

Use research, data, and direct customer feedback to inform decisions and iterate on solutions

Create and evolve user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are ready to ship

Contribute to and help mature Bree’s design system, ensuring consistency while enabling fast iteration

Sweat the details while keeping sight of the bigger picture, balancing speed, quality, and impact

Collaborate in design critiques and team rituals, and help raise the overall bar for design quality at Bree

3+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer digital products in fast-paced environments

• Strong end-to-end product design experience, spanning UX, interaction design, and visual design
• Experience working closely with engineers and understanding technical constraints and tradeoffs
• Strong visual and interaction design skills, with an eye for simplicity, hierarchy, and polish
• Comfort using data, analytics, and experimentation to validate and improve your work
• Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma
• A portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful problem-solving, real shipped work, and impact
• Working knowledge of front-end development concepts (e.g. components, state, APIs), and the ability to reason about implementation while designing

Familiarity with mobile-first products and React Native environments

Experience contributing to or evolving a design system

Comfort “vibe coding” or prototyping in code when helpful , to explore ideas, validate interactions, or collaborate more closely with engineers
