Inside Sales Account Executive Location Toronto, ON : Overview: IDC is the most respected global technology market research firm operating in over 110 countries worldwide. IDC is seeking an Inside Sales Account Executive to join our Sales team in Toronto, Ontario. The initial focus of the Inside Sales Account Executive will be to accelerate IDC's current successful business with Canadian Technology Vendors. The Inside Sales Account Executive is responsible for selling an enhanced and tailored product and solution set geared to the needs of Emerging and Mid-Market Technology Vendors. This product leverages IDC's detailed research and data across technology markets, vendors, and buyers, and world class Go-To-Market platforms. This role will report to the GVP of Sales for Canada and is quota-carrying.

The Inside Sales Account Executive will become an expert on all products and services IDC offers to help Technology Vendors Plan, Market, and Sell. They will have a comprehensive understanding of how the products and services can support a vendor's efforts across the board. They will also work to support and build pipeline for the other Canadian Enterprise Account Executives.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of at least 1 day per week in IDC's downtown Toronto office. IDC is the most respected global technology market research firm. Generate revenue in new sales of our complete product portfolio to technology vendors

Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails

Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales team members for further development and closure as required

Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas

Bachelors' Degree in business, sales, or marketing; 1+ years of experience in an outbound call center, as a BDR/SDR, or in inside sales

  • Ability to build relationships, solve problems, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
  • Previous B2B technology sales experience and CRM/Salesforce experience a plus
  • Minimum domestic travel (0-5%)
