Imagine the excitement and ability to show off your incredible skills in a deployed environment (overseas) for six months as an Accounting Coordinator supporting the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations from across the world! As a deployed Accountant, you are not just completing accounting duties, but enhancing the morale and welfare of all the troops deployed.
The Accounting Coordinator is part of an enthusiastic team of adventurous individuals who enjoys meaningful employment and contributing in a team-based environment. The Accounting Coordinator plans, organizes, and manages the delivery of accounting services and programs. You will provide advice and interpretation on accounting and administrative policies to managers and senior military officers. You will act as Comptroller to the military Commander and provide accounting control over assets and liabilities. You will also provide assistance and training to employees, managers and military personnel assigned to Morale & Welfare (MW) programs on accounting/finance related topics/programs.
In addition, the Accounting Coordinator can play an important role in enhancing the morale of CAF and partner nations by assisting with recreational activities and events. College diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
Must have a valid Canadian passport
Valid Canadian driver’s license (Class G or Class 5)
In inventory control
In applying policies, procedures and regulations and applicable legislation
In planning, organizing, and delivering accounting services
In providing finance and accounting advice
In budget administration
In planning and conducting presentations
In the preparation of financial statements, analysis and management reports
Additional Qualifications Prior To Deployment
Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment
Language Requirements
English Essential
Civilian deployment contracts are 6-month terms. Deployment start dates may take place within the next 2 years.
Maximum 56 hours per week, which includes weekdays and weekends.
Tax free allowance: Home leave and travel allowance: Possibility of paid leave and travel allowance.
Drug coverage, travel insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Excursions: Possibility to explore and experience the local culture and environment through activities like excursions off base.

Successful candidates will be invited to participate in a multi-day training and selection course.
Fully paid attendance, including travel, accommodations and meals
Purpose: You will learn more in-depth about the day-to-day expectations, technical work-related training, as well as a basic understanding of military practices and procedures. Your completion of the training session will be valid for 2 years.
