Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Full-time Senior Project Manager to join the Supply Chain Process Management team. The work of a Senior Project Manager is integral to Canadian Blood Services role as Canadas Biological Lifeline.
In this role you will support the design and implementation of a robotics solutions that integrates seamlessly with existing upstream and downstream production processes leveraging automation tools to manage massive collection volumes specifically addressing peaks and valleys in demand across diverse geographic sites and adapt core automated processes to fit various facility layouts while maintaining operational consistency and efficiency.
The successful candidate must possess the technical acuity to evaluate complex hardware and software architectures enabling informed partnership decisions and vendor selections. They will be responsible for engineering solutions that are not only regulatory-compliant and viable in the short term but also architected for scalability across our multi-site network.

Leveraging your project management experience you will lead or participate in the development of project business cases for complex multi-year projects.
Utilizing your collaboration skills you will work with the project team and steering committee to recruit project team members while leveraging your leadership and engagement skills to oversee support and direct project team members in staying engaged with the plan and effectively accomplishing the goals and objectives of the project.
Drawing on your project leadership experience you will monitor and document the overall project plan and budget ensuring the project meets timelines targets and expectations based on the established parameters providing regular project status updates to all key partners on behalf of the project team.
Utilizing your communication teamwork skills and project experience you will coordinate the activities of the project team steering committee internal and external partners to develop the project plan define deliverables identify roles and responsibilities establish timelines and communications training strategies implementation and evaluation strategies risk management costs transition and close-out plans.
Drawing on your decision-making expertise you will make decisions that impact project deliverables costs and timelines which will impact other business areas.
Using yourrisk management expertise identify monitor and mitigate substantial risks with implications beyond the project.

Post-secondary level education preferably a university degree in a related field.
Experience in introduction of robotics and automation into existing production process is concerned an asset.
Certification in Project Management such as the PRINCE2 Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.
Evidence of ongoing professional development in program or project management and leadership skills is required.
Proficiency with related software tools including Microsoft project professional MSPO is an asset.
General management experience including accountability for budgets and people.
Ability to create a cross-functional team environment that promotes high performance.
Ability to deal with senior management and external stakeholders on highly complex or sensitive issues.

Payment in lieu for benefits and vacation
Annual performance award up to 10%.
This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services Brampton location (100 Parkshore Drive) at least 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
This role requires frequent travel to production sites and vendor facilities to oversee pilot testing lead on-site builds and manage the final implementation of robotics solutions.
