We are seeking an Intermediate Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of automation systems within our production environment. This role will play a key part in implementing automation solutions, troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Design, program, test, and deploy automated systems, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.
Contribute to electrical design activities such as component selection, panel layout, and schematic preparation.
Participate in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new automated equipment.
Troubleshoot, debug, and perform root cause analysis on automation and control systems.
Develop and maintain documentation, including system designs, operation manuals, SOPs, and technical reports.
Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance staff.
Conduct routine maintenance and monitor system performance to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
Post-secondary education in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in automation or industrial controls (internship or co-op experience considered an asset).
• Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatics, motors, and control hardware.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
