Now Hiring: Design Engineer - Product Development (Sim Racing Division)
6 Sigma Sim Racing is a fast-growing sim racing manufacturer delivering cutting-edge racing cockpits and turnkey simulator systems across North America. We're looking for a Design Engineer with hands-on product development experience to help take our hardware to the next level.
Position: Design Engineer - Product Design & Development Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid or On-Site) Employment Type: Full-Time
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and development of new sim racing products, from concept to production
- Create 3D CAD models, detailed technical drawings, and prototypes (SolidWorks or Fusion 360)
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners for DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
- Design for structural integrity, ergonomics, and user experience
- Develop adjustable mounts, modular chassis systems, and hardware integrations
- Support product testing and continuous improvement based on user feedback
- Bonus: Assist in the design and integration of motion platform systems (DOF setups, actuators, dampers, etc.)
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in product design and development , ideally with physical hardware
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, structural components, and fastener design
- Understanding of CNC machining, sheet metal, and fabrication methods
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical intuition, and problem-solving ability
- Bonus: Experience designing motion systems or dynamic simulation rigs
