AutoCanada is publicly traded automotive dealership group with operations in eight provinces. Our organization employs several thousand team members in sales, service, parts, finance, and corporate functions, including both unionized and non-unionized employees. Reporting to the Managing Counsel, Employment Law, this position will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, HR, and operations, providing day-to-day legal guidance on employment and labour matters in a fast-paced, people-driven environment. Although the position will focus primarily on employment law matters, the successful candidate will also assist with other litigation and regulatory matters.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a public company environment with national scope, providing exposure to senior leadership while contributing to the organization’s people strategy.
1-5 years of relevant post-call experience practicing employment law at a law firm and/or large corporation.
Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, the Law Society of Alberta, OR the Law Society of British Columbia.
Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
