Staffmax is currently assisting our client in hiring an experienced Business Development Manager in the wholesale apparel industry to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of our brand’s success.

Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across Canada and international markets, focusing on premium fashion retailers, boutiques, department stores, and specialty accessory shops.
Lead pre-show outreach and post-show follow-ups.
Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and strategic partnerships.
Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, distributors, and retail partners to ensure continued success and satisfaction.
Stay up to date on product lines, seasonal collections, competitive activity, and emerging industry trends.
Work closely with design and merchandising teams to align product development with market needs and client feedback.
Contribute to building efficient processes. Help shape the structure and culture our expanding sales organization by contributing excellent leadership, insights, and collaborative energy.
Have a seat at the executive level meetings
5+ years of sales and business development experience , preferably in the apparel, accessories, or lifestyle industries. Deep understanding of market trends, seasonal cycles, product lifecycles, and consumer behaviour
- Skilled in developing and executing domestic and international sales strategies, including lead generation and full-cycle sales management. Expertise in identifying new business opportunities and emerging trends to drive growth.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, such as design, merchandising, marketing and finance, ensuring alignment between sales goals and brand direction.
- Demonstrated track record of securing, growing, and managing key accounts, achieving sales targets, and driving consistent revenue growth.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.
