Imagine the excitement and ability to show off your incredible skills in a deployed environment (overseas) for six months evaluating and managing the operations and delivery of morale and welfare programs to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations. As a deployed Manager, Morale and Welfare Operations, you are enhancing the overall morale and welfare of all the troops deployed.
The Manager, Morale and Welfare Operations is part of an enthusiastic team of adventurous individuals who enjoy meaningful employment and contributing in a team-based, land based environment. You will have the opportunity to plan, coordinate, and manage a variety of business lines, such as retail, fitness, recreation, sports, travel, and barbering. You will utilize previous managerial experience, coupled with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to provide the highest level of service to Canadian and/or partner nation clientele.
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Sports Administration, Recreation Management, or a related field
Must have a valid Canadian passport
Valid Canadian driver’s license (Class G or Class 5)
In planning, coordinating and managing multi-business operations
In applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
In managing facilities
In planning, coordinating and evaluating the operations of establishments engaged in retail sales
In planning, coordinating, managing and evaluating the operations and delivery of travel programs
Additional Qualifications Prior to Deployment
Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential

Civilian deployment contracts are 6-month terms. Deployment start dates may take place within the next 2 years.
Maximum 56 hours per week, which includes weekdays and weekends.
Tax free allowance: Home leave and travel allowance: Possibility of paid leave and travel allowance.
Drug coverage, travel insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Excursions: Possibility to explore and experience the local culture and environment through activities like excursions off base.
In order to be considered for deployment, please include the following in your application. IF SUCESSFUL – SELECTION AND TRAINING COURSE
Successful candidates will be invited to participate in a multi-day training and selection course.
Fully paid attendance, including travel, accommodations and meals
Purpose: You will learn more in-depth about the day-to-day expectations, technical work-related training, as well as a basic understanding of military practices and procedures. Your completion of the training session will be valid for 2 years.
