Under the responsibility of the Student Life Coordinator, the Student Life Counsellor - Sports and recreation, plans, implements, develops, animates and evaluates student activities in conformity with the Strategic Plan orientations and the Student Success Plan in the area of sports and recreation. More specifically, but not limited to, the Student Life Counsellor - Sports and recreation:
Evaluates, in collaboration with students and other stakeholders, the needs in terms of activities that will support the development of students and of their academic success;
Plans activity programs using the College's resources (financial and material);
Collaborates with other members of the College Community to provide a supportive environment that will enable the integral development of Vanier's students;
Provides academic support to students involved in intercollegiate activities;
Liaises with the Student Life Coordinator for the use of facilities for all sports programs;
Monitors budgets and expenses, responsible for work orders, purchase orders and inventories for specialized materials related to their field of work;

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of specialization.

Relevant experience in the sports and recreation field;
Good knowledge of the CEGEP educational system is an asset;
Ability to work with minimal supervision;
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel (to be tested);
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French (to be tested);
Available to work on weekends and evenings, as needed.
