Senior Design Engineer (Technology)

We’re seeking a passionate, Product Engineer who thrives on solving complex system-level challenges and is driven to push the boundaries of mission-critical embedded technology at our world class facility in Ottawa, ON! Salary Range: $90,300 - $120,400 plus bonus opportunity

You will drive the full systems engineering product lifecycle for development of rugged deployed systems for harsh environments. Leading integration and test activities

Ensuring compliance with rigorous environmental and safety standards

Debug and test new embedded and system products at the forefront of technology

Champion test automation for products

Apply established development processes and assist in process improvements

Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products

Proven Product Engineering Experience

• Development of electronic assemblies optimized for rugged environments and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Proficient across Windows and Linux environments
• Scripting/automation experience (Python or similar)
• Cross-disciplinary awareness of electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing impacts
• comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
• Team player who leads by example, takes ownership, holds self accountable, and drives continuous improvement
• Passion for customer success and team development
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science, Technologist Diploma or equivalent will be considered
• Environmental, Social and Governance

At our world-class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, Ontario, we manufacture rugged products optimized for high-mix, high quality and small batch sizes typical of military requirements. Equipped with the latest assembly, cleaning, coating and inspection equipment, our operations are AS9100 and ISO-9001 certified and we comply with the highest standards of workmanship defined by IPC and J-STD specifications. All materials and processes are controlled by our enterprise-wide SAP and MES systems which offer full component traceability to individual products by serial number.
