Forestry Equipment Operators

Job Overview We are recruiting a skilled and safety-conscious Logging Equipment Operators to operate specialized forestry machinery, including bunchers, skidders, and processors to process trees for timber production. The ideal candidate will have experience working in similar environments, a strong understanding of logging procedures and mine sites, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team under varying weather and terrain conditions.
Operate a feller buncher to cut trees
Ensure safe and precise tree felling
Maintain proper equipment function through daily inspections and routine maintenance.
Use a skidder to drag felled trees or logs from the felling site to the landing or processing area.
Safely navigate steep, uneven terrain while minimizing environmental impact.
Assist with loading logs when required.
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with GPS systems and mine sites
Experience of heavy equipment with vibration and noise exposure
Must pass pre-employment alcohol and drug test including cannabis
