Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) is a multi-year initiative (FY23-28), announced as part of the government’s health care plan, Your Health - A Plan for Connected and Convenient Care.

It aims to equip frontline healthcare providers with secure digital solutions, replacing approximately 80% of fax use across high-priority clinical workflows (e.g., Pb4P focuses on making improvements to existing clinical workflows through modernizing approaches to care delivery, reducing administrative burden for frontline providers, and better connecting patients and providers to the province’s digital infrastructure, ultimately enhancing care provision for patients across the health system

Experience with and knowledge of Project Management concepts (e.g. project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, planning and quality management)

Time management, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects

Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience project managing electronic health-related projects, ideally with experience deploying clinical software systems

Demonstrated knowledge of Lab Information Systems (LIS’s), lab workflows and associated business processes within hospitals, patient admissions, health records and laboratories

Demonstrable knowledge of project management; Knowledge and understanding of Project Management’s Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge is an asset

Experience working on and delivering multiple projects

Demonstrated project management software skills and experience e.g. MS Project, MS Teams etc.

College/University undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent experience desired

Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards is an asset

Minimum 4 years experience as a project manager supporting electronic health-related projects 30. Minimum 2-4 years’ experience knowledge of healthcare information systems and lab information systems used throughout the province of Ontario 20 Points

# Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience with the management of project or program communications including both verbal and written, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience with document management including the application of standards, version-control, and storage. Knowledge or experience with electronic health workflows and associated business processes within pharmacies, hospitals or health records. Proven track record working with health care professionals in the field. The Junior Project Manager resource will support onboarding related to the OLIS-MORE, eOrdering portfolio.
