POSITION TITLE: Server
The role of Food and Beverage Server at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club is to guarantee the complete satisfaction of members at all times and to promote a safe and efficient working environment. You are responsible for guaranteeing exceptional customer service. As a server you are charged with providing an excellent experience for all members and their guests Your duties as a server include but are not limited to: · Respect all members and fellow staff members.
Provides professional and courteous service to meet the membership’s needs in various areas of the Club, Banquets and Special Functions.
Provide friendly, professional service, maximizing member’s enjoyment of their dining experience.
· Smile and be polite, make eye contact and use member’s name. · Be presentable and professional o Uniforms must be worn in member areas of the club when clocked in. o Keep uniform neat and tidy, be presentable. o Shoulder length hair or longer must be tied back/up and kept tidy. · Greet and seat members and their guests. Follow the “table service guide.” o Be aware of all dining areas of the Club · Maintain health and safety standards. · Deliver food and beverages efficiently to members and their guests. · Have adequate working knowledge of Jonas POS system and navigating menu screens.
~Make sure sales are calculated correctly, credit cards are processed properly, and cash-out is done to specifications.
· Be aware of, and communicate to guests, any food and bar specials. Have thorough knowledge of menu items, preparation time and techniques. · Work efficiently with kitchen staff to rectify any problems or mistakes. Communicate with all employees in a precise, polite and effective manner. · Complete daily tasks assigned by the supervisor on duty or manager. · Be self- motivated. Ensure the server stations are properly and adequately stocked. · Handle situations or conflict among members or staff in a calm and confident manner, retaining professionalism at all times. · Assist in other departments of clubhouse as needed. Other duties as assigned.
