Our client, a top banking client in Canada is looking to hire a Accountant (Capital Markets) for their team with a contract for 8 months with potential extension or conversion to Permanent. This role is Hybrid 2 to 3 days in Toronto office.
Typical Day in Role o Assisting to process Reconciliation o Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. o Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. o Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: o 5-7 years of experience as an Accountant o Experience working in Capital Markets to understand the lingo used in sales and trading environments o Proficient in Microsoft Access o Prior experience with Reconciliations
Nice-To-Have Skills: o Experienced with Microsoft Office programs
