Job Summary: As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process, providing product recommendations, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will contribute to achieving store sales goals through effective customer service and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and fulfilling customer requirements.
Resolve customer complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.

Sales Generation:
Recommend and display items that match customer needs.
Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Product Knowledge:
Learn about the products and services offered by the store.
Stay updated on product features and benefits.
Educate customers about the quality, features, and benefits of different products.

Stock Management:
Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise.
Ensure products are stocked and neatly arranged on shelves.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.

Cash Handling and Transactions:
Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently.
Maintain accurate cash drawer.

Store Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
Ensure shelves are stocked, neat, and tidy.
Assist in light cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping.

Other
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic math skills for handling payments and transactions.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education:
~ High school diploma or equivalent.
