Job : As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion.
3 years experience in a community or acute mental health setting
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic - Computer skills
- Ability to be flexible and willing to change
