Our Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops clinic is in a bright and friendly environment with a fully equipped gym for active rehabilitation and functional training. The clinic is located on Oriole Road, Kamloops, British Columbia, which provides free parking, and is a wheelchair accessible facility. Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops has been delivering multidisciplinary physiotherapy assessment and treatment services to the Kamloops community for over 15 years. Our staff consists of physiotherapists, kinesiologists and occupational therapists who are experts in treating sport, orthopedic, motor vehicle (ICBC) and work-related (WorkSafe BC) injuries. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) who is passionate about assisting those impacted by injury through their individual recovery process. In addition to working with the WorkSafe BC rehab program, you will have the opportunity to participate in other work streams such as FCEs, Community OT services and Veterans Rehabilitation services.
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients
Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up of clients
Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties
As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centred care across multiple clinics or specific clinics and community settings. Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
- 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
- Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted.
- Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as return to work/brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, and home safety ergonomics.
Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
Proficiency in computer skills
