Transform Canadian Grocery Aisles as an Associate Merchant with Loblaw!

As an Associate Merchant, you'll be at the heart of this exciting journey!

Reporting directly to our Category Director, you'll collaborate with top Merchants and work alongside talented professionals who are committed to excellence. Engage with diverse business units to drive category success. Manage and resolve store inquiries in collaboration with operators to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution.

Promotional Excellence: Support the execution of pricing and promotional strategies, ensuring accuracy and timely implementation, including data-entry, data-integrity management, flyer/digital/instore advertising accuracy, vendor income collection, inventory management, store communications and retail pricing.

Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics to provide strategic insights on category performance for your Merchant(s) and Category Director. Spearhead product assortment planning and coordinate planogram executions while maintaining impeccable data integrity.

Manage the financial activity of the category including managing vendor income billings, conducting analysis, and collaborating with Merchant(s), vendor(s) and finance team to investigate and resolve income inquiries.

evaluate new private label products or platform innovations that set us apart from competitors.

Experience in Retail Sales Merchandising—or familiarity with retail/financial/business processes—is preferred.

Foundational understanding of key financial indicators such as margin, sales performance metrics, and shrink.

Proficiency in using data analytics for driving innovative insights.

Competence in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint & Teams along confidence working various software platforms
