Swim Recruiting is seeking a Costing & Inventory Specialist to join this manufacturing/lumber company. This role is focused on inventory costing, financial accuracy, and maintaining clean, reliable data across inventory and ERP systems. The position also provides support to operations and logistics as needed.
Calculate inventory costs, margins, and profitability across multiple files.
- Record inventory movements, production runs, and cost transfers within ERP and inventory systems.
- Support preparation of journal entries related to inventory and costing.
- Review and validate supplier and check invoices for accuracy (pricing, volumes, coding).
- Maintain accurate inventory records, file data, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate discrepancies between inventory and financial data and follow up as needed.
- Organize and manage documentation including invoices, delivery slips, customs paperwork, and production records.
- Support coordination of inventory movement and assist with logistics tasks when required.
- Experience with inventory costing, cost tracking, or project/file-level accounting.
- Experience working with ERP systems and managing data across multiple platforms.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and inventory data.
- Exposure to manufacturing, commodities, or supply chain environments is an asset.
- Experience with inventory systems such as LISA or Sage is an asset.
The office location is close to shopping, cafés, and restaurants. Public transit stops within a 10–15-minute walk. This role follows a hybrid model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
