CATEGORY MANAGER - PROCUREMENT (H/F)

Reporting to the Vice President Procurement As the Category Manager lead the development execution and optimization of procurement strategies for key categories within a shared services procurement close partnership with the Vice President Procurement you will define and implement category strategies deliver effective sourcing solutions and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive consistency cost efficiency operational excellence and continuous improvement across all assigned categories.

Lead category performance to deliver sustainable cost savings improved supplier performance and contract compliance
Develop long-term strategies to optimize spend and maximize value through innovative and strategic sourcing approaches
Monitor market trends and supplier activity sharing insights with operational teams to support category plans and best practices
Collaborate with the strategic sourcing team to manage end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier evaluation selection negotiation and contract management
Ensure sourcing activities align with category strategies and establish supplier performance frameworks to drive continuous improvement
Provide strategic procurement guidance to senior leadership ensuring alignment with enterprise and operational objectives
Lead develop and mentor the Category Management team while identifying and mitigating procurement-related risks to ensure supply continuity and resilience

Minimum of 8 years experience in procurement with a proven track record leading category management and sourcing in complex environments
SCMP CPSM CIPS) are considered an asset
Demonstrated experience implementing category management approaches for goods and services
Strong knowledge of procurement best practices category management supply chain principles and change management
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to decision-making
Solid understanding of strategic analysis tools and their application in driving category strategies and value-based outcomes
Proven ability to conduct market analysis and leverage findings to optimize sourcing decisions
Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
In-depth understanding of contract law and enterprise-wide contract management principles

In office position with some flexibility of working remotely 1 day per week
Occasional travel to various office locations required
