High School Math and Science Tutor Wanted
Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our Learning Centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.
All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school hours starting at 3pm Monday to Friday and occassional Saturdays. This is not an online position. Education :
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is preferred
University students with tutoring experience will be considered
Good knowledge of the current Grades 8 to 12 math including Pre Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry
Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 8 to 12 (or equivalent) level
Strong English written and oral communication skills
Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
